Every Premier League is
busy in the transfer window and with only 1 month left, they need to sign their
desire players before the end of the transfer window in order to have a competitive
squad in the upcoming season. Let’s analyze some of the Premier League’s top
clubs transfer needs and what are the positions they really need to cover.
Arsenal:
Alexandre Lacazette is Arsenal’s
number one priority in this transfer window and the reason is quite
understandable because with Theo Wolcott not performing on consistent level,
they need to have a striker who score goals and they actually wants a clinical
finisher. They have French international Olivier Giroud But he is not a title
winning Striker. Lyon Striker Lacazette is the type of player who scores more
than 20 goals in a single season and can help them to win the Premier League
title. With his 54 goals in the last two seasons for Lyon, he is the type of
player Arsenal wants to sign and end their long term striker’s deficiency.
Manchester United:
It looks like Man United are closing in on the
world record signing of their former midfielder Paul Pogba who left united in
2013 for Itlay champions Juventus. He is currently the hottest property in the
midfield and with his creativity and strength, he can be a big addition in the
Man United squad. He scored goals and provide assists and becomes a pivotal
player for Juventus and France for the past couple of years. United wants a
player who provides stability in the midfield and can add creativity for the
strikers. If Jose Mourinho will get him, then Man United will definitely be the
title favorites with the likes of new signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Chelsea:
Chelsea in search
of a center back for a very long time and the reason is very simple because
they want a center back who can be a long term replacement of John Terry and
provide stability in the defense with the likes of Kurt Zouma and Gary Cahill.
Napoli Defender Kalidou Koulibaly was exceptional in the last season and
because of that he is the target for Antonio Conte. He is young and is very
good in passing and tackling. Chelsea was miserable in the defense last season
and with his arrival, he can add strength and reliability in the defensive
department.
Liverpool:
Liverpool desperately need a
left back and with Alberto Moreno becoming a liability for them, they wants a
player who can make runs forward as well as retreat back when in need for the
defense. German international and 1. FC Koln full back Jonas Hector 26, is the
player Jurgen Klopp needs and with his crossing attributes, dribbling and
concentration, he can be a good fit in the Liverpool side. He can also play in
the defensive midfield role but more preferable in the left back position.
Manchester City:
It seems like
Manchester City are in pool position for the young highly rated England and
Everton defender John Stones. With club captain Vincent Company’s long term injury
issues and lack of consistent performances from Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas
Otamendi, Pep Guardiola wants to sign a player who is capable of building play
from the back and setting up attacks. John Stones ticks both the boxes and is
certainly a player for the future. Everton chief wants 50 million pounds for
the defender and they will everything they can to retain this highly rated
defender at the Guddison Park.
Tottenham Hotspur:
Spurs looks like having a good decent squad
who can compete in the Champions League this year and with the signings of
midfielder Victor Wanyama from Southampton and Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar,
Mouricio Pochettino having a now good solid squad with the depth in every
department. But Anderlecht young sensational midfielder Youri Tielemans is on the radar of
Pochettino and he wants to have him in the squad in the near future. 19 years
old Belgian midfielder has the athleticism and skill to grow into a difference
maker for Tottenham and have the potential to play under pressure and most
importantly he has the experience of Champions League where he can help Spurs
very much. Tielemans can be a cover for Christian Eriksen as a second choice and a
long term future as well.
