Neymar's Assist and Winner Enough for Brazil Past Colombia in a World Cup Qualifier

This made it two wins out of two under new coach Tite thanks to the Barcelona's star man Neymar, who struck after Miranda's early header had been cancelled out by Marquinhos own goal.

Neymar was the hero for Brazil as the home side beat Colombia 2-1 in Would Cup qualifier. The 24-year old who guided Brazil to win the Olympic gold medal. netted the match-winner with just 16 minutes remaining in the match.

Brazil had a dream start after Miranda opened the scoring in the second minute at the Arena da Amazonia. He headed home courtesy of Neymar's early cross, but Colombia struck back in the first half.

It wasn't the Colombian player who found the net, instead Brazilian defender Marquinhos puts the ball into the net from a teasing James Rodriquez cross. Neymar firing home a low strike after being set up by Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho.

The win puts Brazil up to second in the CONMEBOL standings, level on points with Argentina and a point behind leaders Uruguay after eight games. Brazilian coach Tite went in unchanged from his first game, a 3-0 win away to Ecuador last Friday.
