Positions in Power at Emirates Considering Young Howe as Replacement of Wenger


Arsenal are reportedly considering Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe as a contender to take over from longstanding boss Arsene Wenger.

The 38-year old's impressive performances as a manager caught the eyes of positions in power at the Emirates and they are seriously considering him to replace Frenchman when he does eventually step aside. It is expected that this will be his last season as the Wenger's contract with the Gunners is due to expire at the end of the season.

Eddie Howe took the manager's job permanently in 2009. Howe departed for Burnley in 2011, but he returned to Bournemouth the following year. Since then, he helped the club to two promotions and in their first season in the top flight in 2015-16, he helped the South-coast club comfortably afloat in the Premier League.

Eddie Howe has made some very major signings including the capture of Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal to remain at the top-flight English football for the second season running.

According to reports, Arsene Wenger is himself is a firm admirer of eye-catching and technical play of Eddie Howe and the manner in which Cherries coach goes about their his business. Although option is there for the current manager to stay at the club and extend his contract if he wish to stay. But fans opinion remains divided on the 66-year old, with the last league title coming in 2004 for the Gunners.

If he will decided to move away from the club and the Emirates then opt for Eddie Howe, then it 'd be a big step up for the Charismatic Bournemouth boss. He has an impressive record at Bournemouth and the expectations he'd face at the Emirates would be massive compared to what he is used to.
