Federer and the 18th Grand Slam

Is 34 years old tennis legend Roger Federer ever going to won his 18th single grand slam title? The chances are grim because of his recent fitness issues and he was in and out from the tennis court due to injuries in the last few years. He was not part of the Roland Garros because of back complaint and knee injury also after Wimbledon final loss, he announced that he will also not participated in any of the tournaments in the remaining 2016 which means he will also going to miss year’s last grand slam US open.

The 34 years old said his doctors advised him more extensive rehabilitation if he wants to prolong his career to 2-3 years and he needs to give proper time to his body and knee to fully recover from this setback.

Swiss tennis star last played in this year’s Wimbledon where he lost in the final against the Canadian Milos Raonic in the 5 set thriller. Though he was injured in his professional tennis career very few times and he is very motivated for a came back and back to his best from the start of next year.

Federer last won a grand slam back in 2012 when he back Andy Murray in the Wimbledon final. Since then he made it to the finals for the three times but was failed in every occasion to add his record titles from 17 to 18. The way he played in the whole Wimbledon tournament shows he still has the class and the game to win any tournament and can still beat anyone if he overcomes his injury concern.
