10 Serie A Signings to Get Excited About

2016 summers transfer window has been eye-catching in Serie A with some astonishing deals. Paul Pogba has been the headline as Serie A star leaves Serie A for Premier League but there has been some interesting, shrewd and expensive signings as well went through. Here are the top ten signings of Serie A you need to know about.

Gonzalo HIGUAIN                         Napoli to Juventus                                   90m

Gonzalo Higuain is the most expensive transfer ever in Italy, moving from Napoli to the champions Juventus for record 90million. Many believed that Juventus clearing every effect and already won the Scudetto this year with the signings they have made, even after the departure of Paul Pogba they are now more stronger with power house Higuain now leading from the front.

Higuain may not scored 36 goals again this year but Max Allegri will be more than happy if he could manage to score 20 goals to help the team in other respect. In the last three to four seasons,

Napoli and Roma fans were very confident after the summer transfer window about their teams Scudetto credentials but this time things are very different. Everybody things Bianconeri have already wrapped up the title, and who knows, maybe more.

Ever BANEGA                                   Sevilla to Inter Milan                Free Transfer

New Chinese ownership is now in the process of developing the team with big money signings under new manager Frank de Doer, but the club is limited because of the financial fair play rules. One of the major signing they made is the arrival of thinking midfielder Ever Benega was the main man in the midfield because of his crucial interceptions and he dictates the play with his quick movement and thinking with ball at his feet.

Milarem PJANIC                             AS Roma to Juventus                             32m

Another new piece of art in the Juventus collection is Bosnian Pjanic. After the departue of Paul Pogba and the last season injury to Claudio Marchisio, his presence is now even more important. Pjanic is an accurate director of the modfield and those who watched him knows he can play with any big club in Europe. In Pjanic, Juventus has found a potentially new Pirlo.

Arkadiusz MILIK                            Ajax to Napoli                                        32m

With Napoli's main man Gonzalo Higuain move to the enemy Juventus, Napoli looks at the other options to replace the Argentinian and sign Polish international Milik. It is too early to say that he is the perfect match to replace Higuain and score as many as 30 goals. but he can be an intresting player in any case.

The 22-year old already scored a number of goals for Ajax and played recently in the Euro 2016 with Poland in every match alongside the certain Lewandowski. He is a typical center-forward, tall, physically strong and have a good technique.

It is too early to say he can become next Higuain or Lewandowski, but certainly he has to do something in his power to make the fans forget about Higuain.

Dani ALVES                                       Barcelona to Juventus                Free Transfer

Dani Alves is one of the most successful footballers in recent history and has won every possible title with Barcelona and at 33, he still has plenty of football left in him. This is the reason why he chose to move to Turin as he wants to win further titles and he can do that anywhere in full-back, as a winger or in midfield, With him, Max Allegri has the option to go with four defenders or traditional three-defender scheme with the Brazilian in midfield.

Bruno ALVES                                Fenerbachce to Cagliari                 Free Transfer

There is another Alves worth mentioning. Bruno Alves may be 34 and at the end of his footballing career but a piece in Portuguese footballing history and a part of Euro triumph winner, he proved to be still a world class defender and will help newly-promoted Cagliari to remain in the top flight Italian football. In a very tactical championship like Serie A, experienced defender have some advantage against their young collegues.

Antonio CANDREVA               Lazio to Inter Milan                                    22m

Candreva's addition to the attacking squad with the likes of Icardi, Palacio, Jovetic, Perisic, Eder and Biabiany have a big boost to the Frank de Boer's title credentials and now Inter Milan is one of the lethal teams in the divisions. He is the footballer who runs for the entire match and gives great assistance to the midfielders.

Miguel VELOSO                          Dynamo Kyiv to Genoa                 Free Transfer

Miguel Veloso, 30 is one of the most under-rated midfielders to have played in Italy in the last decade. Because of his talent and skills, he had gone to some big club and still can move for a big European club, but maybe become a burden too heavy to bear.

When Genoa bought him in 2010 from Sporting Lisbon, he showed some uncommon skills, including outstanding vision and set-piece speciality, but a difficult league like Serie A, he didn't succeed much and move to Ukrainian club where he spend four years from 2011-12. Genoa again signed him with a fact that he still has game left in him and can become pivotal for Genoa for the next three to four years.

Thomas VERMAELEN        Barcelona to AS Roma                            Loan

Roma's transfer window has been marked by the lack of funds and the money which they got from selling Pjanic to Juventus, invested in expensive loanees like Stephen El Shaarawy and Antonio Rudiger. Because of that they have to buy some cheap players like Mario Rui and Federico Fazio.

But Vermaelen can become an excellent signing for them if he can play majority of his season without injury scare. If he manages to be in a good shape then we are talking of one of the reliable and complete defenders in Serie A. He can be an excellent cover for the injured Rudiger, who will keep out until the end of the year.

Ciro IMMOBILE                       Sevilla to Lazio                                         8.5m

It has been a long time since Ciro Immobile was the Serie A top-scorer with Torino. Since then 2013/14,he has been on the European tour and played with Dortmund, Sevilla and Torino. He is still young and can regenerate his career. He is player who needs to be mentally regenerated and if Lazio manages to do so, then Higuain, Icardi and Bacca might have a serious rival in the chase for goal-scoring title.
