Murray Will Face Nishikori as Wawrinka, Del Potro Clash All Set for the QFs of US Open


Andy Murray cruised to the quarter-finals of the US Open 2016 after dropping only five games against the 22nd seed Bulgarian Grigor Dimitov in the fourth round.

The No.2 seed Scottish won 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 and will now face Japanese sixth seed Kei Nishikori in the last eight of the US Open, who was impressive in a 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(7-4) win over Croatia's Ivo Karlovic.

In the other fourth round matches, Swiss star Stan Wawrinka saw off Ukraine's Illya Marchenko 6-4, 6-1, 6-7(5-7), 6-3 while Argentinian star Juan Martin Del Potro who was the 2009 champion, led Dominic Thiem 6-3, 6-2 when the Australian retired from the knee injury.

Both Wawrinka and Del Potro will now face each other in the last eight of 2016 US Open.
