This has been an absorbing Saturday in the Premier League as we have seen some exciting action between the clubs.
Pep Guardiola's men ended the windy afternoon match at Stoke with a thumping 4-1 win, as Aguero and new arrival Nolito struck braces. They were not really at their best but the result was never in danger as they secure back to back wins in the 2016/17 season. Quick, neat passing sees them leave opposition teams chasing shadows and when they lose lose the ball, they show more purpose with it and fight harder. After the 80th minute, City brought on Iheanacho in order to break as they lose the ball fairly easy in some portion of the match, and rather sit back and defend, Pep introduce 19-year old who made significant impact in the third goal to put the game to bed.
Ronald Koeman's first victory as Everton manager came in the second match, as they came from behind to beat West Brom 2-1. Gareth Barry provided the winner in the second half in his 100th game for Everton, and assisting Kevin Mirallas equalizer earn him a quality performance on a special day. Yannick Bolasie also featured in the final half hour from the bench having completed his club record signing from Crystal Palace.
Gunners survived against Leicester in a 0-0 draw, which earn both teams a point to kick start their compaign. Leicester's two appeals for the penalties turn down by Mark Clattenburg after Danny Drinkwater and Ahmed Musa both went to ground in the area. Riyad Mahrez had a great chance in the injury time of second half, which was saved by Peter Cech. Both teams had their chances but none of them able to capitalize as both teams ended with a single point.
Tottenham beat Crystal Palace, thanks to ex-Southampton man Victor Wanyama's goal in the 83rd minute. The Kenyan midfielder headed home from a corner on the closing minutes of the play. Spurs had the best of chances in the match as impressive Janssen came close for his first goal for Spurs, but Hennesey did well to stop his shot. He done well in his first full appearance with the club and showed glimpse of touch and it looks like Kane and Janssen can have a good partnership up-front. This is Palace second win in a row leaving them scoring 3 goals in their last 8 Premier league matches, and you can see why they splashed £27m on Benteke. Benteke was no doubt struggled in the last season for Liverpool but he had showed his credentials in the Premier League and can lift Eagles out of their misery.
Turf Morr proved to be a nightmare for Jurgon Kloop as his side beaten by newly promoted Burnley by 2-0, with Sam Vokes and Andre Gray score two first half goals. Mistakes in the defense cost them badly as both goals scored with the defensive error.
But it was big Spainiard who takes all the credit as Chelsea came from behind to beat Watford 2-1 through Costa's 87th minute strike. Conte seemed set for his first defeat as Chelsea boss after Capoue put Watford up in the second half but then came contribution from the bench as Michy Batshuayi scored an equilizer in the 80th minute before Costa's 87th minute strike seals the win for the blues.
