West Ham United beat Bournemouth and newly-promoted Middlesbrough beat Sunderland to earn three points to record their first win of the season.
Bournemouth and Sunderland both continue their point-less season after two matches and join Crystal Palace at the bottom of the table.
This Super Sunday is of two way importance as in one side, there is a renewed rivalry in the North-East between Middlesbrough and Sunderland after 8 years, and a new stadium of 60,000 capacity welcomes West ham.
West Ham entered their new stadium with a win and a clean sheet to start their new era at London Stadium. Late header from Michael Antonio seals all the three points for the Hammers as Slaven Balic side beat Bournemouth 1-0.The host were struggling to put a better show which this stadium deserves but at the end, a delightful cross from Gokhan Tore ends up with Micheal Antonio's header goal in the 85th minute. The Hammers were clearly struggling without Andre Ayew, Dimitri Payet and Andy Carroll but finally done something good after Bournemouth's Harry Artur sent off brings Cheries with 10-men on the pitch for the last 10-15 minutes.
The North-East rivalry between Middlesbrough and Sunderland ends with Stuani's brilliance which gives Middlesbrough 2-1 victory over Sunderland. This was the first match in 8 years between the two rivals and Christian Stuani's first half brace was enough for the newly-promoted Middlesbrough to register first win. Black Cats sustained pressure in the second half and Patrick Van Aanholt goal brings a new energy for the equalizer but they could not be able to break them.
New boss David Moyes have a long weekend to think about what changes he will made that brings success under him and a he need to add one or two good signings in order to overcome that miserable campaign start.
