Super Sunday proved to be
super for the fans as well as everyone after Liverpool and Arsenal clash at the
Emirates, which gives Premier League of to a flying start.
Mersyside beat
gunners at their home ground by 4-3 in an enthralling finale. Five of the seven goals scored by the ex-Southampton players, Walcott, Chamberlain and Chambers for Arsenal, while Lallana and Mane for Liverpool.
Arsenal were
vulnerable in every department especially at the defense, and why not they were
playing with the two inexperienced center backs and things happened like that,
when you don’t have quality available at the key positions.
Liverpool on the
other hand gives a huge statement at the emirates stadium, serving up a
fantastic performance against the Gunners. The Reds were largely dominated the
match and were ahead by 4-1, but allowed Arsenal to come back in the final 20
minutes when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers scores back to back
goals setting up a tense finale.
Coutinho was the hero of the match scoring
brace, while Adam Lallana and debutant Sadio Mane also on the scoring sheet.
Theo Walcott missed the penalty in the first half, but a minute later scored
the goal to give Arsenal an early lead.
Liverpool’s liability proved again he
should not be in the line-up by giving away sloppy penalty on Theo Walcott, but
surprisingly he is regular in the line-up with that kind of performance. After
the penalty saved, Moreno was at fault after being caught up the pitch, and
Walcott lashed up the opener from the right.
The seven goal thriller
entertained in North London, but from Arsenal fan’s point of view, why more
efforts are not being made for further recruitment.
