Pakistan all set to beat
England in the fourth day of the 4th test to level the series,
thanks to Khan and Shah’s brilliance.
England were in all sort of trouble when the
day 3 ends yesterday having made 88 runs and lost four important wickets,
including their captain Cook and Joe Root. They are still 126 runs behind
Pakistan’s lead and they have to work hard to not let them defeat by an innings.
Earlier yesterday, Pakistan were all out on
542 courtesy of Younas Khan’s 6th career double ton scoring 218 runs
, sharing a 9th wicket partnership of 97 with Muhammad Amir, who made
a test-best 39 not out. He joins Kumar Sangakara to become the second player to
score 6 double hundreds against 6 different nations.
Pakistan added 202 runs in their overnight
score of 340/6 and take a commanding lead, when Yasir Shah takes three wickets
to put England in all sorts of trouble. Three key wickets by leg-spinner Yasir
Shah put Pakistan in a dominant position in sight of victory in the fourth
Test. Gary Ballance was 4 not out and Jonny Bairstow 14 not out after
leg-spinner Yasir Shah had taken three wickets for 15 runs in seven overs. If
Pakistan will win today, they will then overcome Australia as the No.1 test
team.
