UEFA have announced that top four clubs from each of Europe's top four highest ranked leagues will automatically qualify for the Champions League group stage from 2018/19 season onward.
The changes will have initially set for three years which will be ended in to the end of 2021/22 campaign.
Its will now removed the need for the fourth placed premier league or La Liga team to qualify for the group stage through play-offs,
The UEFA Europa League winners will automatically qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
A new system for the clubs coefficient: Clubs will be judged on their on records. Historical success in the competition will also be acknowledged in coefficient calculations
UEFA are keen to stress that 32-team format in the Champions League will remain the same. The route to qualify through play-offs will also remains same.
