India Wins from a Certain Draw Position


India beat West Indies by 237 in the 5th day of the 3rd test to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four match series, thanks to their bowlers classy performance, who turned the match to their way.

 West Indies bowled out for just 108 runs in the second innings, chasing 346 runs on the final day. At lunch on day 4, the match were cruising on for a draw as West Indies were 202/3. But Indian bowlers stepped up and then the next & wickets fell adding only 23 runs as Caribbeans were bowled out in their first innings on 225. Despite that, West Indies still had a chance of drawing the test and they needed to bat on the final day.

 Earlier today, India had declared their 2nd innings 45 minutes into the fifth morning after adding another 60 runs to their overnight score of 157/3. India set the total of 346 on the final day of the two and a half session to play, but the host could not survive and Indian Bowlers outclass them by their lethal, accurate and ruthless bowling.

 At one stage, Chase and Bravo settled well, when West Indies were 64/3 after the early loss of three wickets, but after that the wickets were tumbling and they bowled out for just 108 runs. Darren Bravo is the only shining light in the West Indies 2nd innings scoring 59 runs. 

Jadeja wrapped the game with the wicket of Gabriel. India won by 237 runs. Anil Kumble had won the first series as coach of India.
