Arsenal defender Culam Chambers has joined Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.
Newly promoted club fought hard for the signing of the young English defender, as number of clubs including Roma and Hull City wants to secure the 21-year old services.
After the arrival of Shkodren Mustafi from Valencia, his place in the side looks grim and now Middlesbrough is a good chance for him to show he can be a next big star for Arsenal in the coming years.
Speaking about Calum Chambers, manager Aitor Karanka said: "I'm really pleased. It's a position we've been working towards bringing the right player in. We haven't been in a hurry because Calum was the player we were waiting for, as he's going to help us a lot. I'd like to say thank you to him because we know he had another offer, but he wanted to come here. That's important and we are looking forward to working with him".
Chambers joined Emirates Stadium for £16m from Southampton in 2014 but has fallen down the pecking order in the years since joining.
