Arsenal's disappointment for signing a striker comes to an end as they have finally signed Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez, bringing an end to the Gunners searching for striking reinforcements.
Manger Arsene Wenger said: "He's not only a goalscorer, he's a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. He's got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year".
The fee between the clubs for the players is reportedly around £17.1m.
Perez has left Spanish club Deportivo after two seasons and the Spainiard enjoyed the best campaign of his career, scoring 19 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
Lucas Perez has scored or assisted more goals (27) than any other Spanish player in La Liga since the start of last season.
At the Emirates, Perez should have plenty to feed off in the final third, and now they have finally have a reliable partner upfront with Olivier Giroud, or most probably an alternative to him. He may not be the top-class striker in terms of goalscoring, but he is an upgrade on the likes of Theo Walcott, Danny Welback and Yaya Sanogo.
