Day 2 Belongs to Pakistan

Day 2 of the final and fourth test between Pakistan and England has been ended with Pakistan ahead of England’s 328 by 12 runs with four wickets in hand. Asad Shafiq and Younas Khan has been the star performer today as both hit centuries. Day 2 starts with Pakistan resume their innings with 3 for 1 and night watchman Yasir Shah played a very healthy role with Azhar Ali scoring 26 valuable runs before losing his wicket to Steven Finn.

Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali added another 75 runs for the third wicket, when Azhar felt just one run short of his half century and losing his wicket to Moeen Ali. Two century makers joins the pitch and added 140 runs for the fourth wicket, when Asad Shafiq after scoring fabulous 109 runs, got out when Pakistan were at 277 for 4.

This was Asad’s 9th test century. Younas, who was not in good form in the whole series finally scores a big ton with the veteran scored his 32nd test match hundred. He scored an unbeaten 101 not out when the day 2 ended.

Pakistan are 340/6 with Younas Khan and wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmad will continue to extend their lead. Pakistan look to score beyond 450 to take control of the match and not let that same mistake twice as they did in the last test, when they take the first innings lead of more than 100 runs, but was still able to find a way to lose the test match, which is very devastating for the fans as much as anything.
