Murray into the Semis

Great Britain’s Andy Murray punched his ticket to the 2016 Rio Olympics semifinals with a hard fought victory against United States’ Steve Johnson 6-0, 4-6, 7-6. Murray was narrowly escaped in the third round match against Itlay’s Fabio Fognini and same thing happened to him again in the quarter final but he manage to win in a thrilling final.

The American was looking out-of-sorts in the early losing without winning a single game by 6-0, but came back strongly in the second set and level the match after the second set to one set apiece.

Johnson came close to a memorable comeback win against the world number 2 but failed to capitalize on the biggest match of his single career. The champion of London Olympics finally finds a way to win in the end by 7-6 in the third set.
